Paul Oakenfold Four Seasons Tour

It has been 3 long years since Paul Oakenfold last graced our shores for the Future Music Festival back in 2009. In that time Paul has been extremely busy; having partnered his widely respected Perfecto label with Armin Van Buuren’s almighty Armada Music, the label has gone from strength to strength and continues to be at the forefront of electronic music boasting a continuous stream of successful new releases. Paul’s globally syndicated radio show Planet Perfecto is now aired in over 40 countries every week and has quickly amassed a legion of loyal fans worldwide. Paul has also returned to the DJ circuit in a big way with a non stop schedule of over 200 shows in 2012 – with appearances at some of the largest and most respect events and festivals across the world.

His highly acclaimed Four Seasons tour and album concept, which embraces a cutting edge visual show fused with Paul’s Full On Fluoro sound has recaptured the imaginations of fans new and old worldwide.

Paul Oakenfold’s story is woven so tightly into the fabric of what we know of today’s ‘dance music’ that he surely needs no introduction, with the magnitude of his career it’s hard to put one of the true legends of electronic music’s history into words. For over 3 decades he has shaped and changed an entire genre of EDM and continues to be the leading force in the global music scene, paving the way all other artists in the genre. Yet he isstill pushing boundaries. His most recent works have taken him from the DJ Booth of the world’s hottest clubs and festivals, to the studio to record and remix tracks for some of the biggest recording artists in the world (Madonna, U2). The first global dj to have a residency in Las Vegas – he helped the city go on to win the tag of the ‘Ibiza of the USA’ and his Perfecto Record label has opened the doors for countless headliners including David Guetta. His artistry and craft has earned him accolades from critics and fans as well as 2 Grammy nominations and the ability to play anywhere in the world, like the Great Wall of China.
In the build up to the release of the Four Seasons 4 x CD album on 2nd November Future Entertainment are pleased to announce five exclusive Australian appearances from Paul Oakenfold as he brings his full Four Seasons audio and visual production down under.

Paris Hilton DJs (with a little help) Technician gives socialite a hand as she makes debut in Brazil

25 Jun

paris 6

PARIS HILTON flaunts her decks appeal – with a helping hand from a pro – during her first live DJ set.

The socialite, 31, donned sequin headphones and a satin basque to play tunes to a packed crowd in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

But she needed help with her knob-twiddling so a technician moved in to work the Pioneer decks for the novice

Paris is in town for the city’s annual Pop Musical Festival – and she was clearly bricking it about her DJ-ing debut.

She tweeted earlier in the day: “On my way to The #PopMusicFestival! I have never been so nervous & excited all at once!”

Perhaps to keep the punters happy in case her music wasn’t up to much, the leggy beauty went all out on her outfit.

She wore sexy, stocking-style tights with diamante ‘suspenders’ and an embellished satin corset.

Completing the look was a pair of long, studded gloves and black platform heels.

The leggy beauty wore flirty flicks of eyeliner and pink lippy – and her signature blonde locks were partially pulled back in a side plait.

The crowds at the city’s Arena Anhembi seemed to go wild for the look – giving Paris a rapturous welcome.

She later tweeted: “Wow! What an incredible night! So happy you all loved my set! Loved watching you all smile & dance! One of the best night’s of my life!”

Proud sis Nicky Hilton posted a pic of Paris at work with a shout-out to her talented sibling: “Congrats @ParisHilton on your DJ debut in Brazil!”

Describing herself as a “Model, Actress, Singer, Brand, Business Woman, Fashion Designer, Author, Philanthropist and Empire” on the social network, it looks like Paris can now add ‘DJ’ to that list of accomplishments. Just.

Who Is The Richest DJ In The World

16 Jun

Tiesto #1

Who are the richest DJs in the world? In terms of getting money, glory and girls, a lot of people probably wish they were a professional athlete like Tom Brady or Derek Jeter. But if it were up to me, I would, without a doubt, choose to be a world famous DJ over every other profession. Think about it. The richest DJs in the world fly around in private jets to exotic nightclubs where they get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for a few hours of work. They’re paid to make people have a good time and for just doing their job, DJs are worshiped like Gods. It also doesn’t hurt that the night clubs are always jam packed with the best looking women in the world including famous actresses and super models. We could (and probably should) do an entire gallery showing famous DJs hanging out with incredibly attractive women, but for now here’s one example of Tiesto with a couple friends:

The 30 Richest DJs in the World:

Tiesto is the richest DJ in the world with a net worth of $65 million! The Dutch born Tiesto earned $30 million off his 2010 Kaleidoscope World Tour. Tiesto is also the highest paid DJ in the world, earning as much as $500,000 per show. Tiesto owns his own jet, several mansions around the world and can sellout a stadium in minutes. He even played the opening ceremony of 2005 Athens Olympics. The 42 year old Tiesto is on pace to be the first $100 millionaire DJ in the world within 5 years.

Kylie and Jason to perform Especially For You live

13 Jun

dpub_jason80s

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan will perform together for the first time in 23 years, when they duet on their unforgettable pop hit Especially For You live in London’s Hyde Park.

The July 11 performance will be a part of the modestly named Hit Factory Live, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of producer Pete Waterman’s PWL record label.

“I’m going to sing Especially For You with Jason Donovan,” Minogue announced. “I don’t think we’ll even need to sing it; I’m sure the audience all went through the Neighbours wedding. It’s going to bring the house down!”

The pair shot to household status during their stint on Neighbours, where they played on-screen couple Scott and Charlene. The pair were also romantically involved off-screen for a brief spell in the late ’80s, a situation Donovan has been more than chatty about. Then he took her to an INXS concert, and introduced Minogue to frontman Michael Hutchence, a scenario that didn’t work out so well for him.

Also appearing at the 25th birthday celebrations are Steps, Rick Astley, Bananarama, 2 Unlimited, Dead Or Alive and the following acts, which mean nothing to Australian audiences: Pepsi & Shirlie, Princess, Sinitta, Hazell Dean, Sonia, Sybil, Lonnie Gordon and Brother Beyond.

“Tiesto cocktail” mixing it up in Vegas

30 May

IMG_0638_BryanSchnitzer_t420

Not everyone can have a cocktail named after them. Most of us drink other people’s booze—Jack Daniel’s, Johnnie Walker, Hemingway daiquiris. But most of us aren’t Tiësto.

The superstar DJ, is in Las Vegas for his Encore residency at Surrender and Encore Beach Club, hit Society Cafe on Friday night, where they mixed up “The Tiësto” for him.

Want to drink like the DJ? Stop by the restaurant, nightclub or party pool and order one of the Jäger-based cocktails for yourself….if your in Las Vegas.

The Tiësto
Ingredients:

1 oz. Jägermeister
1 oz. Disarrono liqueur
1 oz. pineapple juice
1/2 oz. peach schnapps
2 dashes bitters

Method:

Shake over ice and serve chilled in martini glass. Garnish with a cherry. Rock the crowd.

What other cocktail mixes would you name after DJ’s?
